Serving Up Comfort in a Bowl

The star of this café is undoubtedly their pho, a traditional Vietnamese noodle soup that warms the soul. Each bowl is crafted with care, featuring rich, aromatic broths and perfectly tender meats. Guests rave about the Bun Bo Hue and Beef Pho, citing the balance of flavors and fresh ingredients that elevate each dish. The meat options, from delicate slices of beef to flavorful pork, are thoughtfully prepared to ensure a delightful experience.

A Taste Bud Adventure

  • Bun Cha Gio: Rice vermicelli served with crispy egg rolls—just $6.65!

  • Bun Tom Nuong: BBQ shrimp served with vermicelli—an explosion of flavor at $6.95.

But Pho Cow Cali is not just about the pho. Their appetizers, such as the scrumptious spring rolls and crispy egg rolls, complement the main dishes beautifully. You can’t go wrong with the Goi Cuon spring rolls, which come with a thick, aromatic sauce that perfectly ties the flavors together.

Sweet Treats Await

Great service and great Pho no wonder that have such high ratings! We sat down and had our shrimp spring rolls and they were excellent. The Pho broth on our #3 with rare steak and tendons was also perfect. Great place to sip you Pho and stay healthy!

This authentic pho place is always popular and packed whenever lunch or dinner time. I finally decided to get in the line for my lunch. There were seven groups in front of me, but it only took 15min to get a seat. I ordered a shrimp roll and beef pho. My food came up really fast. The beef broth was decent and flavorful without too much salt. Their beef slice was pretty thin and fresh. The shrimp rolls were a little sticky but tasted great with decent sesame sauce. Servers were polite and friendly. WiFi was fast. It is absolutely worth it to wait in line for a bowl of decent pho. At my second visit, we tried their #39 spicy pork foot rice noodle. There were also many slices of beef. The broth also tasted amazing with decent beef broth and chili oil. But the pork foot was a little thick. I would like beef pho more.

A waitlist on a Monday.. you know this place is amazing. The spring rolls incredible, sauce phenomenal, and the pho is unmatched. Great food all around. You won’t be disappointed coming here just be prepared to maybe wait 20 minutes or so. One thing I didn’t love is they 100% want you to eat and get out lol you can feel the pressure but otherwise great.

Best pho in San Diego, after I’ve tried all the pho places in SD. The broth is thick and flavorful, the noodle has no sour taste, the meat is good. Bun bo hue also has very rich flavors, a little too fatty so 8/10. Service is extremely fast and efficient. There is usually a long line during lunch/dinner time, but the service is fast and the restaurant has a lot of tables so the line moves very quick.
